Come Visit Us!
Kilowatt Brewing is known for producing small batch, eclectic beer styles and providing unique and stimulating experiences in our one-of-a-kind tasting rooms. Creative and interactive lighting permeates throughout the brewery and taprooms featuring rotating artwork created by local artists, along with an extensive collection of black light art that customers can enjoy with or without provided special 3D glasses, hand-built glass infinity mirror rooms, and other unique art installations. Specialty programmed LED lighting allows us to change the lighting color and mood in real-time. Custom-built giant versions of modern, classic, and obscure games of skill are also a trademark of Kilowatt’s tasting room experience. The brewery and tasting room are located at 7576 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego. Located inside our brewery is the Forbidden Cove hidden tiki bar open Thursday through Saturday serving our handcrafted specialty craft cocktails. Kilowatt has two satellite tasting rooms located in Ocean Beach and Oceanside with a new speakeasy located behind our Oceanside tasting room, The Space Pad.
With our unique styled, hand-crafted beer, one-of-a kind tap rooms, and craft cocktail speakeasies, Kilowatt Brewing is perfect for your next networking event, meetup, after work happy hour, birthday party, girls night out, or date night. We strive to educate our consumers on the value and quality of small batch craft beer and our goal is that you will leave our tap room with a better understanding of craft beer. Our staff is knowledgeable and prepared to answer most questions related to our products, processes, and beer making in general.
We currently have 64 oz. Kilowatt Growlers available to purchase/fill ($8 to purchase the glass growler, fill prices vary). We are also able to fill blank growlers (32 oz. and 64 oz.). State regulations only allow us to fill blank growlers, so please make sure your growler is blank or we can cover any markings/text from another brewery. Due to the limited production of our specialty beers, not all of our beers are available for growler fills, however most of beers on tap are available. Kilowatt growlers are best enjoyed within 2-3 days of filling. Once opened the beer will go flat within 12-24 hours.
Kilowatt fills 32 oz. and 16 oz. crowlers to go. What the heck is a crowler? A crowler is a can that can be filled with any beer of your choice from directly from our taps. It is capped and the aluminum can is then machine sealed onsite. Crowlers are guaranteed freshest when consumed within three days, but can last up to three weeks unopened.
